What We Believe

We believe that a mindset of sustainability, or conscious capitalism, is a foundational component of a thriving business and a force-multiplier on value creation. Sustainable companies operate with a long-term perspective, have a strong sense of mission and purpose, and are willing to make short-term sacrifices for the long-term success of the company and its ecosystem of stakeholders. Investment firms with sustainable business practices are better managed, more innovative, less risky, and better positioned to create more enduring value over the long-term.

The tenets of conscious capitalism are central to our thinking throughout all phases of our investment process; these tenets inform us during investment-opportunity origination and due diligence and they guide us as we work with fund managers.

Sustainability Model

At Satori Alpha, our investment process combines investment and operational analysis with an equally rigorous sustainability analysis. Our approach enables us to identify investment managers that are capable of generating superior investment returns over a long period of time. Furthermore, our sustainable approach leads us to explore ways in which we might more deeply partner with an investment manager beyond just allocating capital to a fund.

We believe success is about more than money, and investment is about more than capital. They’re built on meaningful relationships, inspired by vision, and best when enjoyed as a journey.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has. —Margaret Mead
